Course Content Students are in the position to recognize specific problems in developing countries and to classify these problems in a broader economic context. They are familiar with the basic explanatory approaches to economic development and can build on this knowledge to define the distinct speed of adjustment of different economies. The students are able to critically assess established development economic policy instruments and to formulate approaches to alternative policy design. Based on regional circumstances they can identify a range of action and give specific policy recommendations.
