German for University Studies-Prep Course for a Semester Abroad
The International Center of the University of Kiel, the "Lektorat Deutsch als Fremdsprache" and the "Deutsch-Norwegische Studienzentrum" (DNSZ) will offer a German Language Course specifically designed for the needs of students of all subjects, wishing to spend a study term at a German University. Emphasis is placed on practical language use. Our intention is to prepare the students for the everyday life at a German university. University of Utah Summer Course
Every year a group of 35 students from the University of Utah comes to Christian Albrecht University in Kiel for four weeks at the end of their university’s spring semester. Here the students attend an intensive course tailored to the specific needs of the University of Utah. The students can elect to take courses in German on literature and linguistics or courses in English on international relations. The students also participate in a complementary program consisting of several excursions (including trips to Berlin or Sylt and an optional trip to Oslo) and a concert. The academic director of the program is Professor Johanna Watzinger-Tharp from the Department of Languages & Literature/Department of Linguistics at the University of Utah. Read more...
