Information about course content, reading list and additional information

Course Content To develop cultural awareness, we first have to understand our own cultural values, assumptions and behaviour. Therefore, in this course we will be looking at different definitions, dimensions and manifestations of culture. This incorporates verbal, non-verbal and written forms of communication. Depending on the interests of the participants, specific European and non-European cultures will be covered here. To enhance your global skills, you will also have the opportunity to draft your own CVs and covering letters for the international workplace. Culturally different politeness and socialising conventions will also be a focus.
