Admission to the German course

You are interested in realising a German language study programme graduation (e.g. Bachelor or Master) at Kiel University and your foreign academic credentials are existent. However, if you are missing a proof of sufficient German language proficiency Kiel University offers the possibility to attend the German language course at the Lektorat German as a Foreign Language. You will find all necessary information about application and admission here.

ATTENTION   for the German Course:

NEW Application deadlines are February 15th for the following summer semester and August 15th for winter semester.

All foreign applicants with foreign academic credentials have to apply through the offices of Uni-ASSIST in Berlin. You are obligated to complete the online application form from Uni-ASSIST but please notice that you still have to send your application documents via mail to Uni-ASSIST. To apply ONLY online ist NOT sufficient!

Please note:
 

The German language programme at Kiel University is NOT a beginner's level course. You must demonstrate a certain level of language proficiency as explained in the admissions information. Basic courses in German are offered e.g. at the  Adult Education Center  (Volkshochschule) in Kiel.
